Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 11, 2026  ·  Last updated: August 11, 2026
Legal entity: Fora Holding LLC  ·  Jurisdiction: United States (Arizona)  ·  Website: withfora.com

This Privacy Policy explains what information fora ("we", "us", operated by Fora Holding LLC) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the fora app, you agree to this policy.

1.Information We Collect

  • Account information: email address, name, age, and whether you joined as a submitter or reviewer. Passwords are stored only as secure hashes.
  • Profile content: the photos, prompt answers, and profile details submitters upload for review.
  • Ratings data: the scores and preset reasons reviewers select, with timestamps.
  • Credits activity: a ledger of credits granted, earned, and spent.
  • Verification data: a one-time email code (we store only a hash) and a verification selfie (see Section 3).
  • Technical data: IP address and request logs used for security and rate limiting.

2.How We Use Information

  • To operate the service: assigning reviewers, aggregating scores, and showing submitters their results.
  • To keep the platform safe: content scanning, real-person verification, moderation, and abuse prevention.
  • To communicate with you: verification codes and service emails.
  • We may use aggregated, anonymized data (never identifying you) to improve the product.

3.The Verification Selfie

  • To keep fora real-humans-only, every user takes a selfie in the app during verification.
  • Selfies are used solely to confirm you are a live person and, for submitters, that you match your profile photos. Processing is performed by Amazon Rekognition.
  • Selfies are stored in private storage, accessible only to our moderation review, and are deleted once your verification is decided. They are never shown to other users, never used for any other purpose, and never sold.

4.Photo Scanning

  • Every uploaded photo is scanned before it is stored by Sightengine, a third-party content-safety service, to block explicit and illegal content.
  • Blocked images are never saved. Records of blocked attempts are kept for safety review.

5.Anonymity Guarantees

  • Submitters never see who reviewed them. Reviewer identity is never attached to visible feedback.
  • Scores are shown to submitters with no reviewer identity attached. A submitter sees every score and reason from the panel, and that each came from a verified reviewer, but never which reviewer gave which score. Reviewer names, photos and profiles are never shown to submitters.
  • Anonymity is one-directional. Reviewers see the submitter's profile as he submitted it — including his name and age — because that is what they are being asked to review. A submitter's profile is shown only to his assigned panel of five reviewers; it is not placed in any public or browsable feed.
  • Reviewers cannot see each other's scores before submitting their own. A reviewer may afterwards unlock a comparison of her scores against the rest of the panel; that comparison is aggregated and never identifies another reviewer.

6.Sharing

  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • We share data only with service providers who process it on our behalf: hosting and database (Vercel, Supabase), email delivery (Resend), face verification (Amazon Web Services), and content scanning (Sightengine).
  • We disclose information when required by law, including reports of suspected child sexual abuse material to NCMEC and the preservation of related records.

7.Data Retention & Deletion

  • Your data is kept while your account is active.
  • You can delete your account in Settings. Deletion removes your profile, photos, ratings history, and personal data from our systems.
  • Exception: if your content is subject to an active abuse report or a legal preservation obligation, we retain the minimum required records for the legally required period, and the account is closed rather than erased.

8.Security

  • Data is encrypted in transit. Passwords are hashed. Verification images live in private storage behind expiring links.
  • No system is perfectly secure; we work to protect your data but cannot guarantee absolute security.

9.Your Rights

  • Depending on where you live (including under CCPA and GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to receive a copy of it.
  • Exercise these rights in-app (Settings → Delete account) or by emailing us at the address below.

10.Age Requirement

  • fora is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; suspected underage accounts are removed.

11.Changes to This Policy

  • We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the date above, and continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
